These performances were made in response to Joseph’s film these teeming forms during its installation at VSSL studio. The performances were experiments in distilling some of the sensations, encounters and memories which emerge in the film into material form and live performance.
This textural and sensate work explores porosity - of the land and body; of eroticism and grief. There is no going back. Queer ecology is enacted here as a process of wilding, looking forwards and out, towards new mythic relations with the land.
